XMAS WORKSHOP 'INVERSIONS'
Inversions such as headstand and shoulderstand are important yoga postures. They require strength and concentration, but they also bring clarity and calm. It’s no coincidence that Sirsasana and Sarvangasana are called the king and queen of the asanas.
In this workshop, we’ll discuss the benefits of inversions and use preparatory poses to build toward different variations. We will practice Pincha Mayurasana, headstand (Sirsasana) shoulderstand (Sarvangasana), and quieter inverted poses such as Halasana and Viparita Karani. This allows you to discover how inversions can give you a new perspective — literally and figuratively — as they turn your world upside down.
For whom? Experience with practicing headstand and shoulderstand is required for this workshop. If you’re unsure, please consult the teacher beforehand.
